Exhibitions

Haven't had too many exhibitions to date, finished college in late 2006, but expect more to be added here over time. If you wish to be notified of when a future exhibition of mine will be (next one likely to be in London), use the contact page to let me know.

2008, Solo show, Coningsby Gallery, London

This was my "professional debut" exhibition that I believe may have been the first ever solo ballpoint drawings exhibition in the UK.

The Coningsby Gallery, West end of London near Tottenham Court Rd, hosted an exhibition for me from 28th Jan - 2nd Feb. The private view was on the Tuesday evening. The Evening Standard wrote up the exhibition a couple days later in the critic's choice section (proudly added to the video). The video shows photos and footage from the exhibition and private view.

After the show Debut Art agency (affiliated with the gallery) offered for me to join them, which I agreed.

2006, MA show, Camberwell College, London

My Master of Arts degree show was in the university's basement. My MA was in Digital Arts. My work was about mixing analog mediums with digital artwork with in alternative contexts (see the About page for more info on my subject matter). the 'analog' mediums I played with were drawings, spray paints, clothing / embroidery, and screen prints. If you press play in the player to the right you will see examples of this in my piece.

There is lots more info, imagery, animation etc on my MA project here.

2005, BA show, Camberwell College, London

My Bachelor of Arts degree show was in the university's main hall this time. My BA was in Drawing, but don't think that drawing means drawing, even though it clearly should. I was busy doing biro drawings all through my 5 years at art college, but for some reason were kind of marginalized Even though I was on a drawing course, to actually do drawing was a bit un fashionable! (I have a blog where I complain about this a bit more etc - found here). A shame, but I continued in my own time (at home), whilst trying to "expand my understanding of art", as our tutors would put it, in order to gain merit and pass my BA! This was, though a good thing, as i just messed about in computers and produced loads of graphic designs etc, which my tutors loved. These can be seen in the player.

2003, Start Gallery, London

I organized a small exhibition at a gallery called the 'Start Gallery' on Fulham Palace Rd, London, for my drawings. It was mostly a family and friends affair. Unfortunately the gallery closed down in about 2004.
No images from the show available.

If you are seeing this, you need to quickly upgrade your Flash Player. It shouldn't take long.
